File Your Tax Return
π What
File your annual tax return (aangifte inkomstenbelasting) by May 1st.
π‘ Why
You might get money back! Many expats are owed refunds. Also required by law.
π― How
Log into Belastingdienst.nl with DigiD from March 1st. Much is pre-filled. Check deductions: commuting costs, study costs, mortgage interest. If you arrived mid-year, you'll likely get a refund due to lower annual income. Consider a tax advisor for your first year.
